CRT Building Products has been manufacturing building materials right here in Canberra since 1964.  Over all of those years of servicing the local building industry we have developed an enviable reputation as the regions’ leading supplier of prefabricated timber wall frames, roof trusses and floor systems.

Our purpose built 15,000m2 factory is the largest in Mitchell and is equipped with state of the art production lines.  A continual investment in the latest technology, such as our Virtek laser projection systems and Hundegger CNC multi-head saws, along with our skilled workforce, allows for rapid and precise production of prefabricated timber components of the highest quality.

With an eye to sustainability, Australian regrowth timber is sourced locally whilst we use 100% H2 treated, termite resistant pine to ensure a lifetime quality product.

Our in-house team of detailers boast decades of combined experience and unsurpassed knowledge of local conditions and building practices, whilst our fleet of purpose built trucks and a team of the industries’ most experienced and dedicated drivers will ensure your products are delivered safely and with a minimum of fuss.

Canberra’s trusted source for metal roofing…

In 2005 CRT Building Products broadened its’ offer to the local building industry by joining the national Steeline group of Australian-owned metal roofing and steel building product specialists and launching Steeline Canberra.  This enabled us to manufacture an extensive range of steel roofing and cladding products in Australian Colorbond® steel at competitive prices.  Since then, Steeline Canberra has grown to become one of the region’s most trusted suppliers to local roofers and DIY enthusiasts alike.

Here again we have continued to invest in the latest equipment to ensure both the quality of our products and our ability to meet the rigid schedules of the roofing industry.  2020 alone saw the commissioning of a CNC duplex folder and a CNC slitter incorporating a “coil farm”, all to streamline the production of flashings.

​

Also launched in 2020 were our new architectural cladding products in Colorbond®, as used extensively on the The Block. With a range of profiles, materials and colours to choose from, Steeline architectural cladding adds an element of style to any structure, from suburban homes to commercial and industrial buildings.
